My undergraduate education is a Bachelor of Arts from Drake University. After ten fun years in the marketing world, I changed careers and pursued studies in the Master of Nutrition Therapy program at the Nutrition Therapy Institute. As a graduate of this renowned program, I became a Master Nutrition Therapist (MNT) and later became an instructor at the school, where I taught entry-level and advanced curriculum both in the classroom and online for five years. I have been a mentor and internship instructor for nutrition students in Denver as well as for those seeking guidance in their nutrition careers all around the country.
I am honored to have been offering personalized nutrition services to individuals, children, families, non-profits and corporations since 2005. I am a proud member of the National Association of Nutrition Professionals (NANP) and also serve as a member of the Holistic Nutrition Credentialing Board. I received my board certification in December 2015.
My wellness philosophy is holistic and realistic; by developing and teaching education-based nutrition programs, I strive to change the way people view their bodies and encourage them to live healthier lives. My unique relationship-based approach to counseling focuses on the specific beliefs and skills necessary to making lasting changes.
In addition to having Hashimoto’s thyroid disease and Celiac disease, I have also suffered three miscarriages before becoming a mother to my two children. I have a personal understanding of what nutritional approaches best assist with fertility, pregnancy and the post-partum period. The nutritional wisdom I have accumulated is from my own journey, as well as acquired from my beloved clients.
I am a Colorado native and I love all the outdoors has to offer in this beautiful state! In addition to spending time with my husband, two great kids and my Golendoodle, Izzie, I love to practice yoga, hike, camp, ski, ride my bike, cook, entertain and travel!
I am currently serving as the Health and Wellness PTA committee leader for my kids' elementary school in the DPS district, helping to inspire more nutrition, movement and eco-minded practices and beliefs among kids and parents of all ages!
